These works involve the supply and installation of all electromechanical equipment (pumps, electrical panels, electrical cabins, generator sets, transformation and non-transformation electrical cabins) required for the operation of the two lifting stations, S1 and S3, which have already been constructed in terms of civil works. The detailed design includes:
The setup of the second lifting station (S3), with two lifting groups (S3a and S3b), each also equipped with three electric pumps (2 operating + 1 standby). These groups also lift, respectively, a flow rate of 100 l/s into a DN300 discharge pipe and 350 l/s into a DN600 discharge pipe. The two discharge pipelines, also made of cast iron, run parallel within the same Centro Ittico Campano property. The operating logic is the same as that of station S1.
Since two lifting stations are included in the project, a breakdown could potentially occur at either site if no backup pumps are available. In both cases, support is provided by intervention project no. 8, “Lifting Stations and Pipelines”, which includes the construction of the second segments of the two discharge lines, DN300 and DN600, connecting station S3 to the manhole located on Via Cuma Licola. From this point onward, the flow proceeds by gravity through the pipeline to the Cuma treatment plant. All works are entirely underground, except for the electrical cabins, which consist of prefabricated units. The project works have been mitigated in accordance with the executive project of the main intervention (no. 6), which is approved and nearing completion, and was prepared based on the environmental opinions expressed during the final approval phase of the project by the Decision-Making Services Conference.
